Reacting to regime bombardment | Turkish forces shell three villages in northern Aleppo

Aleppo province: Reliable sources have told SOHR that Turkish forces stationed nearby Mare’ city in the northern countryside of Aleppo shelled positions in the villages of Harbal, Al-Balioniyah and Sheikh Issa in the northern countryside of Aleppo. This bombardment comes as a response to artillery fire by regime forces on the perimeter of the Turkish post in Kaljibrin village in Azaz countryside. However, no casualties have been reported.

 

Yesterday, reliable sources told SOHR that Turkish forces and their proxies targeted with heavy artillery Soughanka and Qunitra villages in Sherawa district in Afrin countryside in north Aleppo province. The bombardment left three regime soldier wounded.

 

On December 28, SOHR activists reported that Kurdish forces fired thermal rocket on Turkish bulldozer resulted in the destruction of the bulldozer and the injury of its driver, while he was lifting dust barriers on frontline between Marae’ and Hirbal in Aleppo countryside.

This incident came along with the eruption of violent clashes between Kurdish forces and “National Army” factions on the same frontline.

 

While on December 26, a Turkish drone bombed a military post of regime forces in the industrial zone in Tel Rifaat city in the northern countryside of Aleppo, leaving material damage.

Turkish troops shelled areas between Tel Rifaat city and Sheikh Isa town, where Russian and regime forces are stationed.

Regime forces also hit fighting frontlines on Marea city frontline.

Although one of regime rockets hit a residential area, no casualties were reported.

 

Also, on December 25, reliable sources told SOHR that clashes with heavy and medium weapons erupted between the Kurdish forces and factions of the National Army on the frontline of Kabasheen village near Sherawa regions in Afrin countryside in north Aleppo province.

The clashes came after two days of cautious clam in the region.
