Daraa province: A dispute erupted between members of local groups who had previously undergone “reconciliation deals” with regime forces and joined “military security service” and another group led by Muayad Al-Harfoush, nicknamed “Abu Taaja”, a prominent figures rejecting the recent reconciliation deals in Daraa. Al-Harfoush is accused of “pledging allegiance to ISIS.
According to Syrian Observatory activists, the dignitaries of tribes in Daraa camp, met a few days ago and issued a statement stipulating for killing “Muayad Al-Harfoush and his brother” who headed a group committing attacks and assassinations targeted former members of local groups who accepted “reconciliations” and worked for regime forces.
On December 23, SOHR activists reported the death of three persons, a civilian and a member of central committee in Daraa and the brother of Muayad al-Harfoush due to clashes with machineguns, between gunmen belong to “Abu Taaja”, one of the most previously wanted by regime, and a member of the central committee in Daraa al-Balad, in Daraa camp, after the member attacked Abu Taaja’s house. However, clashes resulted in injuries between the two sides.
