Security campaign | Asayish Forces search for perpetrators of yesterday’s rocket attack in Al-Hasakah countryside

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR sources have reported that a the Internal Security Forces “Asayish” started a combing campaign in Al-Hasakah countryside, searching for the individuals who fired rockets on the vicinity of Al-Shaddadi city yesterday. Asayish Forces manage to detect the site from which the rockets were fired in a quarry extracting building materials near Um Zar village.

 

Yesterday, SOHR activists have reported hearing two explosions, caused by attack with rockets of unknown origin. However, no casualties or material damage have been reported.

 

It is worth noting that SDF-held areas witness escalation of ISIS cells’ attacks which target civilians and military personnel.

 

On December 23, SOHR activists reported that SDF arrested an ISIS member, while he was driving a booby-trapped car, “Kia” make, loaded with weapons in Al-Dashisha area in Al-Hasakah countryside, and took him to their security centre.

 

While on December 15, SOHR activists documented the death of two commanders of the Kurdish forces, a Turkish-born commander and another commander from Afrin, and their escort in a landmine explosion in the car they were traveling in Al-Shaddadi area in Al-Hasakah countryside.
