Water cut-off one week on | Residents depend on service line feeding water station in Al-Busayra with electricity, putting the station out of service

Deir Ezzor Province: SOHR sources have reported that Al-Busayra water station in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor has been put out of service for more than a week, as a group of people from the “Al-Kabisa” clan cut off electricity to the station, demanding obtain electricity from the  water station project service line.

Meanwhile, the residents of Al-Busayra demanded reactivation of the station again, but there has been no response by the region’s authorities which permitted many civilians to use electricity supplies allocated to the water station, which resulted in weakness and malfunction of the station’s engines and electrical equipment.

The residents demanded all cables connected to the station’s service line be disconnected and reactivate the station appropriately.

It is worth noting  that many people depend on power grid service line supplying the station with electricity without taking into account the disaster of the suspension of the water station.
