Fire broke out in Turkish military post in Idlib | Three Turkish soldiers sustain various burns and taken to Turkish hospitals

Idlib Province: SOHR activists have reported that three Turkish soldiers were taken to hospitals in Turkish territory this dawn, after they had sustained various burns in a fire broke out due to a short circuit in a heater in a dormitory in a Turkish post in  Sarmin in Idlib countryside. The fire  broke out in the room, before it was put out by soldiers at the military post.

The Syrian Observatory documented the death and injury of 28 Turkish soldiers in attacks by “Ansar Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq” Jihadist Battalion in the “de-escalation zone” in 2021 as a part of the efforts of countering Turkish presence in Syria. The jihadist group carried out five attacks in 2021, targeting Turkish convoys and military posts in Idlib. These attacks left ten Turkish soldiers dead and 18 others wounded.
