“Autonomous Administration” capital | SDF member dies by Turkish shelling in Al-Raqqa countryside

Al-Raqqa province: SOHR activists have documented the death of an SDF member affected by the injury he had in Turkish artillery fire a few days ago, which targeted Fatisa village in Ain Issa countryside the capital of “Autonomous Administration” in northern Al-Raqqa province.

Ain Issa frontlines have been witnessing relative calm for 72 hours, interrupted by exchange of bombardment between SDF and Turkish-backed factions from time to time.

On January 2, SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces fired artillery shells on Al-Dibs and Nitula villages and other positions west to Ain Issa district, which is the “Autonomous Administration” capital in Al-Raqqa countryside.

While on December 30, Turkish forces and their factions bombed Fatasa village in the eastern countryside of Ain Issa, the “capital of the autonomous administration” north of Al-Raqqa. No casualties were reported.

While on December 29, SOHR activists reported that the Turkish forces fired artillery shells on Khalidiyah village and the “M4” road between Aleppo and Al-Hasakah in Ain Issa northern of Al-Raqqa.
