A week after being shot by Turkish Jandarma | Young man dies of his wounds in Al-Qamishli city

Al-Hasakah province: A civilian died of the wounds he sustained on December 29 when he was shot by Turkish Jandarma near Banokia village in Ma’bada district (Karki Laki), while he was herding cattle.

 

We, at the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), condemn attacks and violent bushbacks by the Turkish Jandarma against Syrian civilians near the Syria-Turkey border.

 

On December 29, SOHR sources reported that a civilian from Ma’bada countryside (Karki Laki) in Al-Hasakah countryside sustained serious injuries, after being shot by Turkish Border Guards in Banokia village, while he was herding sheep. The civilian was taken to the hospital in Al-Malikiyah city.

 

According to Syrian Observatory statistics, the number of Syrian civilians who have been killed by the Turkish Jandarma since the beginning of the Syrian Revolution, has risen to 498 including 90 children under the age of eighteen and 45 females over the age of eighteen.
