Coordination with Iraqi government | Preparations underway to evacuate new batch of Iraqis from Al-Hawl camp, amid reports of handing over ISIS prisoners

Reliable sources have told SOHR that the administration of Al-Hawl camp in the south-eastern countryside of Al-Hasakah is preparing to evacuate a new batch of Iraqi families today, after coordination with the Iraqi government. On the other hand, SOHR obtained information about handing over nearly 50 Iraqi ISIS members held in Al-Sena’a prison in Al-Hasakah to the Iraqi government also in the coming hours.

On January 3, SOHR sources reported that several buses arrived at Al-Hawl camp in the far south-eastern region of Al-Hasakah from Iraq in preparation to transfer 100 Iraqi families to “Al-Jada’a camp” in Mosul city. This came after coordination between the administration of Al-Hawl camp and representatives of Iraqi government.
