Intensive bombardment on Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) | Turkish rockets kill village’s elder and injure 12 civilians, including women and children

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of the elder of Khan village in the eastern countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani), while 12 other civilians, including women and children, sustained various injuries, a child of whom lost his leg, due to the intensive rocket fire by Turkish forces on Ain Al-Arab city and countryside, near the Syria-Turkey border.


According to SOHR sources, the Turkish rockets hit positions in Kobani city and nearly 15 villages and towns in the countryside of Kobani and Tel Abyad, including Kobralak, Jurn, Kaltab, Qarmough, Tel Jib Khanah, Zarzouri, Sawwan, Salibi, Khan and Bir Arab.


SOHR sources have just reported that rockets fired from Turkish territory near the border with Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) hit several positions in Ain Al-Arab city and the villages of Kobralak, Jurn, Kaltab and Qarmough to the east of the city. The rocket attacks caused material damage to civilian properties, but no casualties were reported.


SOHR sources reported hearing an explosion in the early morning, caused by blowing up a part of the border wall between Syria and Turkey near the villages of Aghbish and Kaltab in Kobani countryside.


On December 25, SOHR activists documented the death of six members of “Al-Shabiba Al-Thawriyah” (the Revolutionary Youth), including two commanders, and injury of three others in an attack by a Turkish drone on headquarters of “Al-Shabiba Al-Thawriyah” in Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani) in eastern Aleppo.
