Public criticism against corruption | Humanitarian Affairs officials demand organisations reveal data and activities

SOHR activists have reported that the “Office of Humanitarian Affairs” of the Autonomous Administration, has issued a circular that obliges the organisations working in northern and eastern Syria to reveal names of their employees, their salaries, periods of the contracts and projects they are worked on, due to the corruption files and public criticism against the international organisations operating in Al-Raqqa.

The circular also obliges all organizations in Al-Raqqa to officially reveal names of employees, managers, nature of work, period of contracts, location of operations and projects being worked on.

This followed a state of public discontent against the operating organizations, which had negative results against the society including significant rise in house rents and corruption such as hiring corrupt figures, fake projects and names. In addition to stop making dialogue workshops and psychological support projects.

Several neighborhoods and 53 camps in Al-Raqqa suffer deteriorating health, living and service states despite the presence of 128 licensed humanitarian organizations in Al-Raqqa.
