Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kaniye) city | Turkey-backed factions conduct raids and arrests

Al-Hasakah province: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that “Ahrar Al-Sham, Al-Hamzat and Sultan Murad” factions have mobilised their troops in Tal Half city, nearby Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kaniye) city in Al-Hasakah province in areas under control of the “Peace Spring” in the early hours of Sunday. The factions have stormed houses in search for wanted suspects.

According to SOHR sources, members of the factions have broken into some houses without considering the conditions of the inhabitants and searched for weapons and wanted suspects on charges of dealing with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) or for not holding ID cards issued by Ras Al-Ain local municipality. The factions have arrested seven persons while the raids have been continuing in the city till the moment.

It is worth noting the Turkish forces along with factions of the “National Army” have been controlling Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kaniye) city and its countryside since October 2019. Since then, the region have been encountering state of chaos and instability, lack of subsidised commodities and basic services in addition to the violations that the factions practice against the people as well as the deportation of most of the inhabitants due to the Turkish military operation “Peace Spring.”
