Crime in regime-held areas | Body of 20-year-old young man found on roadside in Masyaf city

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that a young man in his twenties was found dead in Masyaf city in Hama countryside which is controlled by the regime, where the body was found on Al-Waraqa Street and taken to Masyaf national hospital.

Criminal investigations are conducted to determine the circumstances of the young man’s murder, whether it was a crime, an accident, or something else.

On January 8, SOHR activists reported that a new crime had occurred in the areas under the control of the regime, where an infant body was found in a water tank in Kafra village in Hama countryside.

According to SOHR, a thief entered a house in the village of Kfaraa and beat a woman on the head, then took her 6-month-old baby and threw him into a water tank.

It is worth noting that this is the fourth crime was documented by Syrian Observatory activists since early 2022, some of which were caused by family violence, robbery, or other unknown reasons.
