Daraa | Unknown gunmen wound four civilians

Daraa province: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that four civilians, from Tafs city in the western countryside of Daraa, were wounded in unknown gunfire on the road between Daal and Tafs cities.

Since the beginning of 2022, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) has documented 14 assassination attempts and attacks by gunfire and detonations of IEDs in Daraa province, south of Syria.

These attacks and assassinations claimed the lives of 13 persons, including seven civilians and five soldiers of regime forces and their security services, and former fighter of the factions who, after striking reconciliation deals, served in the ranks of the regime forces.

Since the beginning of the security chaos in Daraa in early June 2019, Syrian Observatory activists have documented more than 1,308 attacks and assassination attempts by gunfire and detonations of IEDs, motorcycle-bombs and car-bombs. These attacks and assassinations claimed the lives of 957 persons, categorised as follows:
• Four anti-reconciliation local militants.
• 310 civilians, including 18 women and 26 children
• 416 regime soldiers, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services
• 159 fighters of factions that struck “reconciliation and settlements” deals with the regime and became in the ranks of regime’s security branches, including former commanders
• 31 Syrian militiamen affiliated to the Lebanese Hezbollah and Iranian forces
• 37 members of the so-called 5th Corps which was established by Russia
