Worrying development | ISIS raise its flags in several areas in eastern Deir Ezzor and warns residents against dealing with SDF

ISIS claims responsibility for killing civilian and doctor for “dealing with SDF”

As the “Islamic State” escalates its activities and attacks in SDF-controlled areas in Deir Ezzor countryside, SOHR activists have reported that ISIS cells have installed ISIS flags in the villages and towns of Swaydan Jazera, Darnaj, Al-Jerthi Al-Gharbi, Al-Jerthi Al-Sharqi, Abu Hardoub and the market in Gharanij town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. ISIS members also stuck paper leaflets on the doors of mosques read “all praise be to Allah alone, and His peace and blessings be upon His messenger and bondman our Prophet Muhammad. Oh, people and soldiers of the Islamic State, our beloved people in Al-Khair state, we send you several messages to comply with, if you want to stay safe:

 

1- We strongly warn you against working for the apostate-they mean SDF- under any pretext, as everyone who abandons their religion should be killed.

 

2- We warn our people against getting close to the checkpoints and headquarters of the atheist and their affiliate or relieving their injured people. Everyone who relieves injured members of those atheist will be severely punished.

 

3- We warn against leaving your houses at night during the raids by the jihadists in houses of suspects, spies and agents under any pretext, even if they are your neighbours or relatives. Everyone who leaves their houses, opens fire or obstacles the jihadists operations will be severely punished.

 

4- We hope that our people provide shelters for the displaced jihadists and welcome and host them in their houses. If anyone refuses to rent or give his house to jihadists, we will blow up their house in order to be a lesson for not helping your brothers.

 

5- We call upon tribesmen who have renounced their religion and joined the ranks of the atheist to repent before it is too late. We welcome everyone wants to repent. If they found it difficult to contact us, then they have to announce his repentance publicly and stay at home.

 

6- We call upon the people of Al-Khair state and every Muslim to start  jihad for the sake of Allah and defend your religion and honour. The atheist have humiliated and killed you, and you will not enjoy peace and safety except under the control of the Islamic State.

 

Finally, we want to bring glad tidings to you. We are strong, and every time the crusaders arrest a jihadist, tens of believers join our ranks.”

 

In this context, ISIS claimed responsibility for the death a civilian who was slaughtered for “communicating with SDF” in Al-Sha’fah town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, two days after he had been gone missing. The victim’s car was also founded burned down in the area of the incident.

 

ISIS also claimed responsibility for the death a doctor who was killed for relieving an SDF fighter. On January 11, SOHR sources reported that a surgery physician from Al-Salihiya town was killed in Al-Dabjan hospital in Al-Tayyanah town in east Deir Ezzor countryside by unknown gunmen.

 

As daily fatalities are recorded and updated regularly, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, including the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo rose to 858 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties.

 

The Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 320 civilians including 20 children and 20 women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 534 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.

 

Also, four members of International Coalition were killed. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human also documented tens of injuries due to these assassinations.
