Ninth anniversary of Aleppo University massacre | SOHR renew its calls to bring perpetrators to justice

With landmark trial in Europe against a criminal involved, aided and abetted killing of Syrian people, Syrians mark the ninth anniversary of the massacre in the architecture faculty in Aleppo University, which left 87 people dead, mostly university students, according to SOHR activists.

 

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) renews its calls for holding accountable all criminals, perpetrators of violations and all those who aided and abetted heinous crimes against Syrians, including the massacre in Aleppo on January 15, 2013.

 

SOHR also renews its calls upon the United Nations, international community and humanitarian organization to intensify their efforts to bring criminals to justice and protect Syrians from horror of war.

 

We, at the Syrian Observatory, blame Aleppo University Massacre on the Syrian regime.

 

Here are outcomes of the investigation by SOHR team on this massacre:

 

Students interviewed by SOHR team confirmed that the two explosions were caused by attacks with missiles and that there were fighter jets flying over the area at the time of the two explosions.

 

Several sources and experts confirmed that the intensity of the explosions and the amount of damage to the targeted area could never be caused by mortars or homemade rockets.

 

According to this information, SOHR assigns the responsibility for the massacre in Aleppo University on the Syrian regime. We also call for start urgent investigation by judges and lawyers known for their honesty on that massacre and disclose and announce the results of this investigation and hold perpetrators accountable.
