Second incident of its kind in January | Regime checkpoint block US patrol in Al-Qamishli

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that regime soldiers stationed at a military checkpoint in Damkhiyah village in Al-Qamsihli countryside in Al-Hasakah province have blocked a US convoy of six armoured vehicles. Meanwhile, the US column took another way.

It is worth noting that this is the second incident of its kind in January.

On January 3, reliable sources informed SOHR that National Defence Forces (NDF) checkpoint blocked a US patrol of five armoured vehicles near Al-Salihiyah village in Al-Qamishly countryside. Blocking US patrols repeated almost daily by checkpoints controlled by the regime forces and NDF in Al-Qamishly and Al-Hasakah. According to SOHR sources, regime forces and NDF checkpoints intercepted US patrols on nine occasions in Al-Hasakah and Al-Qamishly countryside in December 2021.
