Nearly 250 airstrikes on Syrian desert in January | Russian fighter jets strike positions in Deir Ezzor and Al-Raqqah deserts

Syrian Observatory activists have reported that the number of airstrikes carried out by Russian fighter jets on the Syrian desert since morning rose to 12, where they targeted positions in Al-Rasafah desert in the administrative borders between Al-Raqqah and Deir Ezzor desert.

 

SOHR sources reported earlier today a new combing campaign in the Syrian desert, backed by Russian air support.

 

Accordingly, the number of airstrikes executed by Russian fighter jets on the Syrian desert since the beginning of January 2022 has exceeded 249.

 

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported eight airstrikes executed by Russian fighter jets on positions in Al-Rasafah desert in Al-Raqqah countryside. Meanwhile, Russian aerial operations were suspended since afternoon.
