SDC initiative | 22 Syrian families leave Al-Hawl camp towards Deir Ezzor

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that a batch of displaced people left Al-Hawl camp in Al-Hasakah countryside towards Deir Ezzor, under supervision of Al-Hawl camp administration.

This is the first batch to leave the camp in 2022, and it comprises 22 families of nearly 217 persons.
Earlier, SOHR monitored preparations were undergoing in Al-Hawl camp in the southeast of Al-Hasakah countryside to evacuate new batch of the displaced people in light of the Democratic Syrian Council (DSC)’s initiative to empty the camp of Syrians. A new batch, the first in 2022, is anticipated to leave the camp, of 22 families comprising 217 persons from Deir Ezzor.

SOHR in 2021 has documented the evacuation of 780 families comprising 2,890 persons in several batches.

Here is the monthly distribution of the batches that left the camp:
• January: 98 families comprising more than 334 persons.
• February: 105 families comprising more than 400 persons.
• March: 125 families comprising more than 525 persons.
• May: 83 families comprising more than 271 persons.
• June: 59 families comprising more than 202 persons.
• July: 82 families comprising more than 299 persons.
• September: 92 families comprising more than 324 persons.
• October: 18 families comprising more than 75 persons.
• November: 67 families comprising more than 259 persons.
• December: 51 families comprising more than 200 persons.
