Deir Ezzor province: Forces of the Deir Ezzor Military Council have stormed crossings used for smuggling connecting with regime-held areas on the Euphrates river’s bank in Al-Sabha village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the military forces confiscated diesel en route to regime-held areas.

On January 9, Reliable sources informed SOHR that clashes, between members of SDF military patrol and armed men smuggling fuel and flour into areas under the control of the regime, have erupted in Al-Jeneina village in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor since the early hours of Sunday morning. No casualties have been reported.
On January 4, SOHR activists reported that SDF stormed crossings used for smuggling in Deir Ezzor countryside and confiscated 160 sheep in Al-Kasra town in western Deir Ezzor, while they were en route to regime held-areas.
In the same context, SDF members arrested three persons smuggling fuel and flour to regime-held areas during a security campaign on Al-Jeneina and Al-Hussan villages near river crossings.
