Violations of Iranian proxies | “Nineveh fighters” Iraqi militia seizes building in Al-Bokamal city and forces families out of their houses

Deir Ezzor Province: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that a new Iranian-backed Iraqi militia, known as “Nineveh fighters,” has seized a residential building near the old prison in Al-Bokamal city in Deir Ezzor countryside and forcibly evicted four families from their houses in order to turn these houses into military headquarters.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, “Nineveh militiamen” have stolen furniture from houses they had captured.

This development comes as Iran and its militias continue to stretch and strengthen their power across Syrian geography.

Yesterday, Reliable sources informed SOHR that militias operating under the banner of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) across Syria in regime-controlled areas, boosted the salaries of their fighters since the beginning of the new year.

The salaries of Iran-backed Syrian militiamen were raised from 78,000 Syrian liras to 108,000 Syrian liras, equivalent to 30 USD, while the salaries of Iran-backed non-Syrian militiamen were increased from 100,000 Syrian liras to 135,000,000 Syrian liras, equivalent to 38 US dollars.
