Arrested by military police in Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kaniye) ten days ago | SOHR calls for immediate release of two girls from Deir Ezzor

Turkish-backed “military police” has continued to imprison two girls from Deir Ezzor province nearly arrested ten days ago. The two victims were arrested by Al-Hamza Division while trying to sneak into Turkey from Abu Saun village in Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kaniye) city in Al-Hasakah countryside, then they were held in military police detention centres for unknown reasons.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights demand the military bodies that control “Peace Spring” area release the girls immediately.

On January 8, SOHR activists in “Peace Spring” area that is under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions reported that Al-Hamza Division arrested two girls from Deir Ezzor province, while they were attempting to reach Turkey with the help of migrant smugglers from Abu Al-Soun village in the countryside of Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kaniye) in Al-Hasakah countryside.

It is worth noting that National Army factions were engaged in smuggling people and goods between areas under their control and that of other forces in Syria, as they take huge sums of money.

Ankara factions-held areas already witnessed violent clashes between factions, which left victims due to disputes over smuggling routes and sharing of levies and profits.
