Al-Hasakah province: A US patrol has changed its route after it has been intercepted by member of regime forces checkpoint in Tel Al-Dahab village in Al-Qamishly countryside in Al-Hasakah province.

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that the US convoy comprised five vehicles escorted by a helicopter flying over the region. This is the third accident of its kind in January.

On January 15, SOHR sources reported that regime soldiers stationed at a military checkpoint in Damkhiyah village in Al-Qamsihli countryside in Al-Hasakah province blocked a US convoy of six armoured vehicles. Meanwhile, the US column took another way.

It is worth noting that this is the second incident of its kind in January.

On January 3, reliable sources informed SOHR that National Defence Forces (NDF) checkpoint blocked a US patrol of five armoured vehicles near Al-Salihiyah village in Al-Qamishly countryside. Blocking US patrols repeated almost daily by checkpoints controlled by the regime forces and NDF in Al-Qamishly and Al-Hasakah. According to SOHR sources, regime forces and NDF checkpoints intercepted US patrols on nine occasions in Al-Hasakah and Al-Qamishly countryside in December 2021.
