Camp fire | Two children and their mother injured in fire in their tent north of Idlib

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that two children and their mother were injured as fire broke out in their tent being burned by a Wood-burning stove, near Al-Bardagli area in the northern Idlib countryside, at Iskenderun border.

On January 17, SOHR activists pointed those displaced persons inhabited in makeshift camps throughout northern Syria continue to suffer, as those who survived from death by regime’s military operations and fled from the woes of war to live in tents that did not protect them from cold winter or summer heat, did not survive blazes that frequently devour their tents.

In this context, SOHR activists documented the death of two displaced children from Tlemens city in Idlib countryside, after a fire broke out in their tent near Afrin, north-west of Aleppo.

In the countryside of Azaz city, a fire broke out this morning in Al- Kafra IDP camp, burning a number of tents, causing material damage only.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights calls on all international and civil organizations to aid in ending the struggling of displaced Syrians inhabited in uninhabitable makeshift camps.
