Strangled to death | Regime “collaborator” killed in Rif Dimashq
Rif Dimashq province; SOHR activists have reported that residents found, today morning, the body of a man in “Khan Dannoun” town west of Rif Dimashq. The Body was taken to AlKeswa hospital and according to coroner’s report the cause of death is strangulation.
According to SOHR reliable sources, the man worked for regime security branches in the area.
On January 13, a former commander of “Al-Haramoun group” of opposition factions was killed after being shot by unidentified gunmen in Beit Jinn village at the foot of Jabal Al-Sheikh in the southwestern countryside of the capital Damascus, SOHR sources said.
According to Syrian Observatory sources, the commander who is known by his nickname “Moro,” was one of the most prominent persons who formed armed military battalions to fight the regime in 2011 in Beit Jinn area, and previously had served as commander of “Al-Haramun group,” which included several opposition military factions, before he underwent “settlement” in 2018 and did not join any military ranks.
The commander was shot by gunmen in Beit Jinn village days earlier, then was taken to a hospital in the capital Damascus, where he succumbed to his injuries this morning.
It is worth noting that this is the fifth attack in Rif Dimashq since the beginning of 2022.
