Afrin rocket attack | Six civilians, including two children, killed in ground shelling

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of six civilians including two children, in rocket attacks on Afrin city a few hours ago. The rockets were fired from areas where regime and Kurdish forces are deployed.

Earlier today, SOHR sources reported that the death toll of the rocket attacks on Afrin city had risen to four civilians, including a child, while at least 30 persons wounded. The death toll is believed to rise further, as some civilians sustaining serious injuries.

SOHR activists reported an intensive rocket fire by Turkish forces on the villages of Alqamiya and Maranaz in the northern countryside of Aleppo, where Kurdish and regime forces are deployed.
SOHR activists documented the death of a woman and the injury of others in Merdmirimin village in Sharan district in Afrin countryside, northwest of Aleppo, as a military vehicle hit by guided-missile waged by Kurdish forces stationed in Al-Malikiyah village in Sharan district.
SOHR activists reported that six rocket shells hit residential neighbourhoods and “Rajo market” in Afrin city, burning a number of cars and causing massive property damage.
It is worth noting that areas that host a Russian military base in Tel Rifaat in the northern countryside, which are under the control of Kurdish and regime forces, were hit also.
A rocket fire also hit an area near a demonstration by displaced people from Afrin in Al-Ziyarah village, north of Aleppo.
