Explosions in Al-Hasakah | Security and military forces cordon off prison hosting ISIS members

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported hearing loud explosion in Ghuwayran neighbourhood of Al-Hasakah city, along with rising tension among Internal Security Forces and SDF military forces.

According to sources, the explosion took place near “Al-Sina’a prison” which hosts ISIS prisoners, where the military forces cordoned off the prison, while no further information was reported.

On December 19, an explosion was heard in Al-Hasakah city as a booby-trapped motorcycle exploded while the passing of a “van” vehicle carrying SDF members through Al-Jweran neighborhood, injuring SDF member and another person who was at the site of the explosion.
