Roads to refugee camps cut off and more tents damaged due to the strong snowstorm in Aleppo and Idlib countryside

SOHR activists have reported that a one-month old infant died of hypothermia in his tent in Jarabulus city in north-eastern Aleppo.

According to SOHR sources, the victim’s family has been displaced from Al-Wa’ar neighbourhood in Homs and now living in Zougharah camp near the Syria-Turkey border.

Meanwhile, the recent spell of inclement weather continues in Aleppo and Idlib countryside, further worsening the catastrophic living conditions. In this context, SOHR sources have reported that some main and off-roads to areas in northern and eastern countryside of Aleppo, Afrin countryside and Idlib countryside hosting hundreds of tens accommodating displaced people from different Syrian provinces have been cut off. Furthermore, some tents  in makeshift camps in Barisha town in the northern countryside of Idlib have been damaged due to the snowstorm.
