Arbitrary arrest | Regime forces arrest five civilians from eastern Daraa countryside

Daraa province: Regime security services have raided a number of civilian houses in Al-Harak and Al-Maliha Al-Gharbiya areas in the eastern countryside of Daraa, arbitrarily arresting five civilians. However, the reasons and motives behind this arrest are unknown.

Earlier this morning, SOHR reliable sources reported that ten civilians were injured, two seriously, in rocket fire carried out by regime forces yesterday evening on Al-Harak town in the eastern countryside of Daraa.

That rocket attack followed attacks by unidentified gunmen on two military checkpoints of regime forces in Al-Maliha Al-Gharbiyah and at the gate of 52nd Mika Brigade, east of Daraa. These attacks left three members of regime forces injured, one seriously.

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the injury of a woman and her two children, due to shelling by regime forces on the residential neighbourhoods in Al-Harak city in Daraa countryside, causing material damages to civilians’ properties.

SOHR activists reported clashes with machineguns this evening, between unidentified gunmen and regime forces in the vicinity of 52th Brigade Mika and on the military checkpoint in Al-Maliha Al-Gharbiyah eastern of Daraa.

In the same context, regime forces fired artillery shells on Al-Harak city and Al-Maliha Al-Gharbiyah town and nearby plains.
