Second time in 48 hours | Deir Ali power plant put out of service, causing blackout in entire Rif Dimashq and other areas in south Syria

As residents in regime-controlled areas are struggling with catastrophic living conditions, especially with the current bad weather, including heavy rain and snow and wind storms, which is strongly hitting different areas across Syria, SOHR activists have reported that Ain Ali power plant in western Rif Dimashq has gone out of service for the second time in two days due to a technical malfunction. It is worth noting that the power plant feeds the entire province of Rif Dimasqh and vast areas of south Syria region with electricity. Accordingly, these areas have been suffering from total blackout, along with increasing the electricity rationing hours in regime-controlled areas in the other Syrian provinces.
