Landmine explosion | Two Iranian-backed militiamen killed, north of Aleppo

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of two local members operating under the banner of Iranian-backed militias in a landmine explosion yesterday, while they were working in a stone quarry in Nebl town in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

It is worth noting that the towns of Nebl and Al-Zahraa are prominent “popular” bases for the Iranians in Aleppo province. Iran and its proxies had contributed greatly to break the siege on these towns in early 2016. The towns also host thousands of fighters of Iran-backed militias in Syria.
