Hours after attacks in Al-Raqqah | ISIS attack posts of Iranian-backed militias in Al-Mayadeen desert

Reliable sources have told SOHR that ISIS members attacked military posts of Iranian-backed local militiamen in Jozif area in Al-Mayadeen desert in eastern Deir Ezzor this morning. Violent clashes erupted between both sides and lasted for hours, but no casualties have been reported so far.

Yesterday, Observatory sources reported that regime forces and their backed militiamen withdrew from some positions in “Point VII” area in Al-Rasafa desert, south of Al-Raqqa.

Meanwhile, Russian fighter jets carried out intensive airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in Al-Rasafa desert since early morning, amid confirmed reports of casualties.

A day earlier, SOHR activists reported that ISIS fighters mounted a large-scale attack on positions and posts where regime forces and National Defence Forces were deployed in Al-Rusafah desert, south of Al-Raqqa province, injuring more than 12 members of National Defence and regime Forces, amid confirmed reports of deaths.
