Joint patrol | Russian and Turkish forces tour Ain Al-Arab (Kobani)

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that a joint patrol of Turkish and Russian forces has toured villages and areas in west Ain Al-Arab countryside (Kobani). The patrol, which was escorted by two Russian helicopters, set off from “Ashmah village” in the western countryside, on the Turkey-Syria border, and toured several areas. After the mission had been accomplished, the Turkish military vehicles crossed into Turkish territory from a border crossing near “Ashmah village,” while Russian military vehicles returned to their position near Sarin town, south of Kobani city.

This is the 86th joint patrol between Russian and Turkish forces since an agreement was reached between the two sides regarding a ceasefire in the north Syria region.

This comes amid the latest developments in Ghuwayran prison in Al-Hasakah.
