Regime reconciliations | Preparations underway to settle security situation of suspects in Rif Dimashq
Rif Dimashq province: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that regime forces are preparing to start reconciliation deals in several towns in Rif Dimashq, where these reconciliations are expected to start on Saturday.
According to SOHR sources, adult and young men from Zakiya town, Al-Keswa area and surrounding towns in western Ghouta in the far region of south-western Rif Dimashq, who evade mandatory conscripting, will be able to have their situation settled. Meanwhile, security suspects are given a time limit of three months to hand themselves in to regime military and formations, before being prosecuted.
SOHR sources had reported three attacks in Rif Dimashq in the first half of January, as SOHR activists reported, on January 10, that an IED was donated in front of the house of the “general secretary of Al-Baath party” in the western Rif Dimashq Beit Tema in the early hours of Monday morning, causing material damage only.
While on January 5, reliable sources informed SOHR that unknown gunmen targeted a leader of a local faction serving under the banner of the 4th Division in Zakiyah town in west Al-Ghouta in Rif Dimashq. But, no information confirmed whether the attack killed or wounded him.
Also, on January 3, unidentified gunmen attempted to target the leader of a local militia serving under the banner of the military security in Mazraat Bait Jin farm in west Damascus. The gunfire killed one of the leader assistants and wounded another.
