Syrian desert | Coalition forces and “Maghaweer Al-Thawrah” patrol 55-kilometre zone, amid ongoing riot in Ghuwayran prison

US forces and their backed “Maghaweer Al-Thawrah” faction have conducted a joint patrol in the 55-kilometre zone in the vicinity of Al-Tanaf base in the Syrian desert on Syria-Iraq-Jordan border triangle, SOHR activists have reported.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, this patrol coincides with the ongoing Ghuwayran prison riot in Al-Hasakah and in light of the alarming escalation of ISIS cells’ attacks across Syrian desert and SDF-controlled areas in north and east Syria.

On December 27, 2021, US forces and “Maghaweer Al-Thawrah” carried out a joint military live-fire exercise training at Al-Tanaf base at Syria’s eastern border with Jordan and Iraq.
