Accused of “dealing and belonging to ISIS” | SDF arrests nearly 30 civilians across Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that the number of people arrested by SDF patrols during a series of raids carried out since yesterday in the villages and towns of Al-Roz, Abu Al-Naytel, Al-Hariji, Daman, Ziban and Al-Tayyanah in the northern and eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor has risen to 29 on charge of “dealing and belonging to ISIS”.

The SDF and its military forces are being greatly mobilized from Al-Raqqa countryside to the Deir Ezzor countryside.

This comes amid blazing events in Ghuwayran prison in Al-Hasakah city.

SOHR activists have just reported that the “Autonomous Administration” in north and east Syria has imposed a curfew on the areas under its control in Deir Ezzor countryside, which will start at 06:00 PM (local time) on Thursday until 06:00 AM on February 1.

According to SOHR sources, the decision comes over concerns of the repercussions of Ghuwayran prison battle amid the unknown destiny of a large number of ISIS fugitive members and the possibility of their infiltration into the region in light of the resurgence of ISIS cells in Deir Ezzor countryside.

The statement of the “Autonomous Administration”, of which SOHR sources obtained a copy, reads:

A curfew will be imposed on Deir Ezzor region as of Thursday (Jan. 27, 2022) at 06:00 PM (local time) until 06:00 AM on Tuesday (Feb. 1, 2022).

All schools, educational institutes and kindergartens in Deir Ezzor region will be closed during the curfew days.

Bakeries, hospitals and the official institutions that its nature necessitates continuous work are exempted.

Pharmacies and medical clinics are allowed to work from 08:00 AM until 01:00 PM

Foodstuffs stores are allowed to open from 07:00 AM until 01:00 PM.
