After week of alarming calm | Turkish forces shell positions holding Kurdish forces

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that the Turkish forces have fired heavy artillery shells on Tel Madiak and Sad Al-Shuhabaa villages in Kurdish-held areas in the northern Aleppo countryside, however no casualties have been reported yet.

These developments come after a week of alarming calm on these frontlines.

On January 21, Reliable sources informed SOHR that two regime soldiers sustained different injures in an attack by the National Army factions with “TOW” missile on regime forces position in Al-Mayash village in Sheru neighbourhood on northwest Aleppo. The wounded soldiers have been transferred to Nubl Hospital in Aleppo countryside.
SOHR sources reported that the Turkish forces escalated ground attacks on different areas in the north and northwest Aleppo countryside where the Kurdish forces are deployed.
The Turkish forces targeted with rockets and artillery fire 15 areas that are: Tal Refaat, Kafr Nayaa, Sheikh Essa, Deir Gamal, Ain Daqnah, Kharbikah, Al-Zyarah, Aqbiyah, Ershadiyah, Al-Malikiyah, Tanab, Marenaz, Shawargha, Kafr Antoun, and Al-Alqamiyah. That attack wounded several people and caused material damage.
Those areas house regime forces and displaced people from Afrin by the Turkish military operation “Olive Branch.”
