Idlib | HTS member killed by his wife

Idlib province: The body of a man working for HTS-backed security services was found in his tent in Babesqa neighbourhood in north Idlib. According to close friends of the murdered HTS member, his wife killed him and fled after communicating with her ex-husband who is an ISIS member.

This is the second assassination documented by SOHR in areas under the control of the rebel factions and HTS in 2022.

On January 11, SOHR activists documented the death of a displaced civilian from Al-Mayadin city after being shot by unidentified gunmen in the city of Salqin northwest of Idlib Governorate, without knowing the reasons.
