Sponsored by Russia | Regime forces initiate “comprehensive settlement” process for wanted persons in Rif Dimashq
Rif Dimashq province: Syrian Observatory sources have reported that the regime forces, sponsored by Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria, have begun a “comprehensive settlement process” to settle the security situation of wanted persons in Zakia city and the entire areas, towns and villages of Al-Kiswa in the southwestern of Rif Dimashq.
The Syrian Observatory has obtained the full information of the “settlement” process initiated by the regime forces under Russian supervision in the southwestern countryside of Rif Dimashq and reviews them as follows:
– To “settle” the security situation of all those who made a previous settlement from the end of 2016 until 2019 and are still wanted by some security authorities.
– To “settle” the situation of any person who has subsequently been reported before the Criminal Security Council during confession or fabrication of evidence, etc.
– To “settle” the situation of wanted persons, fugitives from the flag service and the deserters of compulsory and reserve military service and grant them an order from the military judge, who will be present during the settlement process and will be taken to perform his military service.
The deserters of compulsory and reserve military service are given a time limit of three months to rejoin and perform the military service.
– To “Settle” the situation of those wanted because of malicious and other reports and all those who believe that they are wanted by any security agency.
Moreover, Russia has made promises and provided guarantees to the people that all those whose “settlements” are accepted will be removed and deleted from the security authorities’ wanted lists in a maximum period of 25 days from the date of the settlement.
It is worth noting that hundreds of young men, who have evaded and failed to complete compulsory service during the previous years, as well as the hundreds wanted by the security services on various charges and issues, are hidden across Rif Dimashq.
On January 24, Reliable sources informed SOHR that regime forces were preparing to start reconciliation deals in several towns in Rif Dimashq, where these reconciliations were expected to start on Saturday.
According to SOHR sources, adult and young men from Zakiya town, Al-Keswa area and surrounding towns in western Ghouta in the far region of south-western Rif Dimashq, who evade mandatory conscripting, would be able to have their situation settled. Meanwhile, security suspects are given a time limit of three months to hand themselves in to regime military and formations, before being prosecuted.
