Accused of “dealing with former Autonomous Administration” | Four Afrin civilians arrested in Jendires district

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that members of a joint patrol between the Military Police and Liwaa Al-Waqqas faction arrested four civilians from Hakja village in Jendires district in Afrin countryside on January 27, for charge of “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration” in order to collect ransoms.

On January 26, SOHR activists reported that Turkish intelligence patrols carried out a raid and arrest campaign across Afrin on January 23, arresting four civilians for unknown charges and taking them to unknown destination.
Meanwhile, On January 23, the military police released a civilian from Kaunda village in Raju district after paying a ransom of 4,000 Turkish liras. The man had been arrested for “participating in guard shifts during the Autonomous Administration control of Afrin city and its suburbs.
