Ongoing chaos in “Euphrates Shield” areas | Casualties in tribal clashes in Jarabulus countryside

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a young man and injury of others, in violent clashes with guns between two tribes in Yussif Bik village in Jarabulus countryside in “Euphrates Shield” areas in Aleppo countryside.

Moreover, the clashes caused outbreak of fire in civilians’ houses, amid calls upon factions to intervene and break up the clashes in the village.

On January 28, SOHR activists reported that a commander of Al-Sultan Murad faction was subjected to an assassination attempt in Aoulan village in Al-Bab countryside eastern of Aleppo, by unidentified gunmen in civilian car, where they opened fire on the commander’s car near the base of Ahrar Al-Sham faction and they fled to an unknown destination.

Following this assassination attempt, Al-Sultan Murad faction brought military reinforcements which deployed in neighbourhoods of Al-Bab city.

On the same context, a commander of the Military Police was subjected to an assassination attempt in Jinderes district on January 27, where unidentified gunmen targeted his car in front of his house in Jinderes district.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the commander had received death threats a few days before the assassination attempts from unidentified gunmen, for supporting “Abo Amsha” a commander of Sulaiman Shah faction. It was confirmed that “Abo Amsha” committed crimes and violations against civilians of Sheikh Al-Hadid district, amid reports indicating that “Abo Amsha” bought the debts (bribed) some commanders of the “National Army” and the Military Police to hide his involvement in violations, murders and imposing royalties against civilians of Sheikh Al-Hadid district.
