Death toll update | Number of fatalities in Ghuwayran events reaches 373 of SDF, ASAYSH members and ISIS fighters

SOHR activists have documented the death of 19 members of Al-ASAYSH members in non identified death toll due to the dozens of burned and mutilated bodies which were found in the prison.
Moreover, SOHR sources confirmed finding 22 bodies of ISIS fighters as well.
Earlier SOHR got confirmed information that other 22 bodies of ISIS fighters exist and according to SOHR sources these bodies are being verified and documented after bodies were collected by the military forces during combing operations inside and outside the prison.

Accordingly, after finding dozens of bodies from the two sides the total death toll since the start of Ghuwayran prison break on January 20 evening has reached 373: 268 ISIS fighters, seven civilians and 98 members of Asayish Forces, prison guards and counter-terrorism forces.
Observatory asserts that the death toll is even higher, and the real number of fatalists is not exactly identified, as the fate of dozens members on both sides is still unknown. In addition, there are many people who have sustained serious injuries.
Earlier SOHR sources reported that an ISIS cell of at least four suicide bombers is holding the head of Kumin neighborhood and three civilians as hostages in a residential building on Aghwat Street in Ghuwayan neighbourhood of Al-Hasakah city, while anti-terrorism forces have surrounded the location.
SOHR reliable sources reported that clashes have been renewed in the vicinity of Ghuwayran prison in Al-Hasakah, between SDF and Asayish on the one hand, and ISIS members on the other.
This development comes after hours of cautious calm, as military forces have been conducting searches and inspections of neighbourhoods surrounding the prison.
According to Syrian Observatory sources, military forces have allowed some people to return to check their houses, having been displaced from them in the light of blazing events of Ghuwayiran prison.
This caution calm coincides with the refusal of the remaining ISIS fighters in the prison to surrender, as they have sworn to fight to the death. Meanwhile, military forces are besieging this group, but they have not launched any operations against the group that holed up in the basement so far, fearing the possible presence of cubs of the caliphate.
