Anti ISIS raids | Russian jets bomb ISIS hideouts in Syrian desert

SOHR sources have reported that Russian fighter jets have been targeting ISIS hideouts and hotbeds in the Syrian desert since the early hours of Monday morning.

Russian jets have carried out nearly eight airstrikes on the desert at the Aleppo-Hama- Al-Raqqa triangle and the administrative boundary between Al-Raqqa and Deir Ezzor. No further details about the number of casualties have been reported.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that Russian warplanes executed 28 airstrikes on the Syrian desert in 48 hours, targeting areas believed to be sheltering ISIS fighters in Al-Rasafa desert in Al-Raqqa countryside and Athriyah desert in Hama countryside.

Accordingly, the number of raids carried out by Russian fighter jets in the Syrian desert has risen to 666 since the beginning of this January.
