Bringing tanks and armoured vehicles | Turkish forces reinforce positions in Jabal Al-Zawiyah, south of Idlib

Syrian Observatory sources have reported that Turkish forces have reinforced their positions close to the frontlines with regime forces.

Turkish forces have brought tanks and armoured vehicles to the towns of Al-Bara and Kansafra in Jabal Al-Zawiyah, south of Idlib, where they have withdrawn vehicles from their internal bases in the “de-escalation.zone.”

This comes as Turkish forces continue to fortify their points and positions adjacent to the frontlines of regime positions across the “de-escalation zone.”

The Turkish forces are seeking to organise and arrange the deployment of their forces on frontlines with the regime forces by transferring a large number of their troops and equipment from internal positions to points and positions near the frontlines.

On January 17, SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces reinforced a military post on the outskirts of Al-Ruwaiha village eastern to Jabal Al-Zawiyah Idlib countryside.

The military reinforcement comprised tanks, armoured vehicles and personnel carriers. The importance of the military post came from the fact that it overviews Ma’arar Al-Na’man city and the International Road “M5”.
