Damascus | Security patrol member killed over clash with regime-backed drug dealers

Damascus province: Syrian Observatory activists have reported violent clashes have erupted between a regime security patrol and regime-backed armed members of local groups who are drug traffickers in Al-Qadam and Al-Sabina areas, south of the capital, Damascus in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

According to SOHR sources, one member of the security patrol was killed and another wounded, while patrol personnel attempted to arrest drug traffickers.

It is worth noting that rampant narcotics business tops the events in regime-held areas, with narcotics has become readily available and being sold in public.
