Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a young man from “Jaklan Fukani” village in Shaikh Al-Hadid district in Afrin countryside, in a Turkish hospital due to a stroke as a result of the brutal torture by Ahrar Al-Sharqiyah faction in Afrin city.

According to SOHR sources, the victim went to Ahrar Al-Sharqiyah’s headquarters on January 22, to demand the release of his nephew who was arrested in Al-Zaidiyah neighbourhood, however the faction demanded him to pay 5,000,000 Syrian Liras after accusing him of “dealing with the Autonomous Administration.”

The victim was subjected to brutal beating by the backs of Kalashnikov, causing him to suffer a stroke where he was transported to a hospital and died inside it.

On January 10, SOHR activists reported that a Yazidi woman had a miscarriage inside Ma’rata prison in Afrin countryside northern of Aleppo, under brutal physical and psychological torture.
According to sources, the Military Police handed the body of the baby to the mother of the tortured woman “A.M.” after six months of pregnancy, where the baby was buried in the graveyard of Kaimar village.
The woman was arrested on September 12, 2021, on charges of “dealing with the Autonomous Administration.”
It is worth noting that the woman had been arrested and released after her parents had paid ransoms, before being arrested for a second time for the same charges, meanwhile the woman is still held inside the infamous Ma’rata prison despite having a miscarriage and being subject to physical and psychological torture.
