Second day in row | Turkish intensive shelling hits Tel Tamr and Abu Rasin countryside, NW Al-Hasakah

Syrian Observatory activists have reported that Turkish forces deployed in bases in “Peace Spring” area have fired heavy artillery shells on villages in the countryside of Abu Rasin (Zarkan) and Tel Tamr in the northwestern countryside of Al-Hasakah.

The shelling hit the Assyrian villages of Tel Shanan on the northeastern part of Tamr district, Al-Dardarh and Qubor Al-Qarajneh in the northern countryside, located on the road between Tel Tamr and Zarkan district, as well as the areas of Zarkan countryside where ongoing shelling has been heard far away.

Reliable sources informed SOHR earlier that the military vehicle targeted by Turkish drone in Kharza village, east of Darbasiya city, on the border with Turkey, northwest of Al-Hasakah, was carrying three members of “The Women’s Protection Units” of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), as well as the driver.

One woman was killed and seriously injured the others, SOHR sources reported.

The victims were taken to Qamishli hospitals for treatment, according to Syrian Observatory sources.

Earlier this day, a Turkish drone targeted a military vehicle in Kharzah village, east of Darbasiya city, on the border with Turkey, northwest of Al-Hasakah, where ambulances have rushed to the scene, amid confirmed information of casualties, SOHR activists reported.

SOHR activists also reported that a violent explosion was heard near Darbasiya border city with Turkey northwest of Al-Hasakah, as an explosion targeted a Turkish vehicle inside Turkish territory, near the border fence with Syria on the opposite side of Jatl village, 1 km west of Darbasiyah.

According to SOHR sources, Turkish soldiers were seen rushing to the bombing scene, which indicates that there are casualties.

Yesterday, the Turkish Defence Ministry announced that a Turkish soldier had been killed by an SDF shelling with an artillery shell at a Turkish outpost inside Turkish territory on the border with Syria.

Yesterday, Syrian Observatories noted yesterday that a Turkish warplane launched a raid on Qasr Moza village in the countryside of Ain Issa.

The shelling hit the Assyrian villages, Tel Shanan, on the northeastern side of Tamr district, Al-Dardarh and Qubor Al-Qarajneh in the northern countryside, located on the road between Tel Tamr and Zarkan district, as well as the areas of Zarkan countryside where ongoing shelling has been heard far away.
