Regime forces raid positions in Jabal Al-Zawiyah | Regime and factions forces trade fire in Sahl Al-Ghab
Reliable sources have informed SOHR that the regime forces have bombarded rocket fire, in the early hours of Friday, on areas in Safhoun, Al-Futirah, Banin, Al-Barah and Fulifil in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in south Idlib.
On the other hand, the frontline of Al-Amiqah in Sahl Al-Ghab in north-west Hama has witnessed an exchange of fire with medium machine guns between the regime forces and the rebel factions, but no casualties have been reported yet.
Yesterday, SOHR reliable sources reported that a Russian fighter jet loaded with several missiles hit the vicinity of Kafr Shalaya town in Jabl Al-Zawiyah in south Idlib while Russian reconnaissance aircraft were flying over the region. But no casualties were reported.
It is worth noting that this is the first attack in February.
Russian fighter jets conducted, in January 2022, 50 airstrikes on the “de-escalation zone” that caused the death of a women and three children.
On January 1, the Russian airstrikes on Al-Nahr Al-Abyad area in the north of Jisr Al-Shughur caused the death of four civilians: a woman and three children, while other raids on Al-Nahr Al-Abyad area and the surroundings of Arminaz and the vicinity of Idlib city wounded 15 persons, mostly children.
Moreover, Russian fighter jets targeted infrastructures in “Putin-Erdogan” area, where “Al-Arshany” water station that provides water for nearly 400,000 people in Idlib was put out of service due to attacks on January 2.
Russian airstrikes also targeted poultry farms in “de-escalation zone”. On January 2, the Russian attacks killed 3,000 birds in two farms in the vicinity of Idlib city.
On January 3, similar attacks on the vicinity of Kafr Takhareem killed 14,000 birds.
The total number of Russian airstrikes included 47 airstrikes targeting 12 positions in Idlib: Al-Jadidah, the surroundings of Al-Sharqiyah and Al-Gharbiyah cities, Al-Nahr Al-Abyad, Kansafra, Mosaybin forest, Deir Sunbol, Al-Futirah, Banin, surroundings of Kafr Takhareem, surroundings of Arminaz, surroundings of Ma’arat Masreen in Idlib. While three airstrikes hit Al-Ankawy in Sahl Al-Ghab in north-west Hama.
