Surrounded in building in Ghuwayran neighbourhood | SDF arrest ISIS cell of five

SOHR sources have reported that Syria Democratic Forces managed to arrest an ISIS cells after surrounding them in a building in front of Al-Aghawat mosque in Ghuwayran neighbourhood in the southern part of Al-Hasakah city.

 

According to SOHR, the cell comprised four Iraqi members and one Syrian from Homs. SDF also confiscated an explosive belt and machineguns in the members’ possession, as well as bags with ISIS flags in them.

 

Meanwhile, a suicide bomber blew himself up, while Internal Security Forces (Asayish) were chasing him near the cemetery of Ghuwayran neighbourhood in the south of Al-Hasakah city. According to SOHR sources, the man was wearing an explosive belt, and he blew himself up when he was surrounded. However, no casualties have been reported among the ranks of Asayish Forces.

 

Yesterday, reliable sources reported that Syria Democratic Forces (SDF), supported by military forces, found an ISIS cell holed up in a building in Ghuwayran neighbourhood, while they were combing the neighbourhood which is located in south Al-Hasakah city. The military forces besieged the ISIS members and called on them via loudspeakers to hand themselves over.
