Al-Suwaidaa province: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that regime forces security services, since the early hours of Friday, have deployed in all squares and basic roads in Al-Suwaidaa city and deliberately blocked some roads with armoured vehicles. The forces also have deployed a number of snipers on the roofs of governmental buildings. Meanwhile, dozens of people have gathered in front of Ain Al-Zaman headquarters in Al-Suwaidaa city to protest against the regime and the government policies.

Yesterday, SOHR activists monitored two attacks on regime positions in Al-Suwaidaa province, where unidentified gunmen fired an “RPG” shell on the checkpoint of Majadel town in Al-Suwaidaa countryside. However, no casualties were reported.

Moreover, loud explosions were heard in an ancient town in Al-Suwaidaa countryside, when unidentified armed men threw a grenade on the police station and opened fire on itز However, no casualties were reported.

Earlier, SOHR sources reported that regime forces brought new military reinforcements to Al-Suwaidaa province that has been witnessing five-day popular protests against the regime government’s decision and the deteriorating living conditions in light of the inaction of concerned authorities.
