Russia Stepping up airstrikes | Jets bombard ISIS hideouts with nearly 50 airstrikes in Syrain desert

On Sunday, Russian fighter jets have carried out nearly 50 airstrikes on ISIS hideouts and caves in the Syrian desert, starting in the eastern Homs desert through Hama – Aleppo – Al-Raqqa Triangle, reaching the desert at the administrative border between Al-Raqqa and Deir Ezzor, No further casualties have been reported.

These airstrikes coincide with the fact that the regime forces, along with their backed-militias, have stopped combing areas in the desert in search of ISIS cells.

Since early February, Russian fighter jets have executed more than 295 airstrikes on separate areas in the Syrian desert.
